Mica Powders

Mica is a colorless, odorless solid that easily flakes into powder. It is opalescent and satiny -- a common ingredient found in many mineral cosmetics. Mixed with resins and other pigments or dyes, mica powder can create depth and eye catching interest in your casting color combinations.

NOW ALSO AT TURNER'S WAREHOUSE and TURN TEX!

Our new mica collection will provide you the same quality of mica powder by Caster's Choice, just in larger quantities (1 ounce). The larger size shows mica's true value as compared to the other color options of pigments and dyes, both also sold in 1 ounce quantity.

Colors we have chosen turned out amazing! We initially imported 160 kilograms in 32 new colors and plan to buy often so we will always have mica powders available for your casting needs.

For those new to casting, most casters will use coordinating pigments or dyes along with a small spoonful or Popsicle stick scoop or two of mica powder to create opaque blanks with the most amazing pearlescent swirls of color in their castings.

As with all our customized products and services at PTownSubbie, if you have a project that needs a particular color of mica powder, we would be happy to check out your options.  Please contact us for more information!
