Mica Powders

Mica is an odorless solid that easily flakes into powder. It is opalescent and satiny -- a common ingredient found in many mineral cosmetics. A small amount of our mica powder colors will create a translucent casting. Combining mica powder with Divine Island pigment or Alumilite dye, or using extra mica powder, can create opaque castings. If you can't visualize color schemes, we've made up some to share with our current colors!

Mica powder may also be used to color crafting projects, such as polymer clay, scrapbooks, and paper decorations, by mixing with liquid clay, paints, glues, or glazes. Mica powder will increase depth or dimension to any of your coloring applications. It has a similar texture as pigment powder or fine glitter.
